Russians executed five captured Ukrainian soldiers
The Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine reported that Russian military personnel deliberately shot Ukrainian soldiers who were in captivity. It occurred on the morning of November 27, 2025, in the direction of Huliaipole, Zaporizhzhia region. Ukrainian law enforcement authorities have initiated a pre-trial investigation into violations of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder.
“Such actions are a gross violation of the Geneva Conventions and a serious international crime”, – emphasized in the Office of the Prosecutor General.
In addition, the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, reported that in response to this crime, he had sent official letters to the International Committee of the Red Cross and the United Nations.
He stressed that these are not isolated cases, but a systematic policy of the Russian army, which is a gross violation of the Geneva Conventions and can be classified as a war crime.
