Lists of Ukrainian Prisoners Handed Over to Pope Leo XIV

During a meeting between newly elected Pope Leo XIV and the communities of the Eastern Catholic Churches, a representative of the families of Ukrainian prisoners of war handed him the lists of captured Ukrainian defenders. The meeting took place with the support of the Coordination Headquarters and the Embassy of Ukraine to the Holy See. The Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, His Beatitude Sviatoslav, congratulated the Pope on his election. In his address, the Pope called for a swift and just peace and the release of all prisoners.
